Dua by the grave

Post by Taalibah on Mon Sep 07, 2009 12:12 am

Someone asked: "When making Dua by the graveside should the hands be lifted?"
Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thaanvh Rahmatullah alayh said: "It is not proven, therefore, supplicate in the heart (i.e. silently without lifting the hands.)".

Dua at the grave is permissible. It is proven from hadith. http://www.islam786.org http://www.alahazratnetwork.org

Dua at the graveside is permissable as said in the first post. To raise the hands is not.
