General Dus in a Muslims life

ﺍﻠﺴﻼمﻋﻠﻴﻜمﻭﺭﺤﻤﺔﺍﷲ ﻭﺒﺭﻜﺎﺘﻪ

Allah Subhana wa Ta'aala tests us all at different times of our lives and in different ways. We all face challenges that may seem like “nothing but trouble” and “bad news” when we’re stuck in the thick of it, but we need to remind ourselves that Allah Subhana wa Ta'aala knows best and often times these challenges are merely stepping stones in our growth and learning. It is at times like this that we should remember and follow the example of our noble Prophet Muhammad Salallahu Alayhi Wsallam and turn to Allah Subhana wa Ta'aala for assistance and guidance. Let us remember always that no matter what our challenges, no matter how big or small, that to it is to Allah Subhana wa Ta'aala and Allah Subhana wa Ta'aala alone to whom we should turn . . .

Prayer for Mercy and Forgiveness

Prayer for the Correction of Heart

Rabanaa tuzigh qulubanaa ba'da ith hadaitanaa wa hablana mil ladunka rahmahtan innaka antal-Wahhab.

"Our Lord! Cause not our hearts to stray after Thou hast guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Thy Presence. Lo! Thou, only Thou art the Bestower".

Prayer for the Purification of Heart

"Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who came before us into the faith, and leave not in our hearts any rancour against those who have believed. Our Lord! Thou art indeed full of kindness, Most Merciful".

Prayer for Favourable Turn of Events

Rabbanaa aatinaa mil ladhunka rahmataw wa hayyi' lana min amrinaa rashada.

“Our Lord! Give mercy from Thy presence and shape for us right conduct in our plight".

Prayer for salvation

Prayer for Parents

“Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and the believers on the day when the account is cast ".

Prayer for protection form trials and tribulations

“Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or err: Our Lord! Lay not on us such a burden as Thou didst lay on those before us: Our Lord! Prayer for a Propitious end

"Creator of the heavens and the earth Thou art my protecting Friend in the world and the Hereafter. Make me to die submissive (unto Thee), and join me to the righteous ".

Rabbana innana sami'na munadiyan yunadi lil-imani an aaminu birabbikum fa' aamanna rabbana faghfirlanaa thunoobanaa wa kaffir 'annaa sayyi atinaa wa tawaffana ma’al abraar. Rabbana wa-atina maa wa adattanaa ‘alaa rusulika wala tughzinaa yaum-al-qiyamati innaka la tughlif-ul-mi' ad.

"Our Lord ! We have heard a crier calling unto Faith: Believe ye in your Lord! So we believed our Lord! Therefore forgive us our sins, and remit from us our evil deeds and make us die that death of the righteous. Our Lord! And give us that which Thou hast promised to us by Thy messengers. Confound us not upon the Day of Resurrection. Lo! Thou breakest not the trust ".

While in life there may be times where we feel overwhelmed by the challenges before us, let us remember that Allah Ta'aala assures us in the Glorious Quran (94:5-6)

“So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief. Verily, with every difficulty there is relief.”

May Allah Subhana wa Ta'aala make us (our families, friends and loved ones) of those who always turn to Allah Ta'aala for guidance and assistance. May Allah Ta'aala guide us, grant us Imaan and Ihsaan, Taqwa and the best of Adhaab. May Allah Ta'aala purify our hearts and souls, and grant us humility, sincerity, love and gratitude always to Allah Ta'aala. May we be of those who always appeal to Allah Ta'aala with love and reverence. May we be of those who show gratitude in good times, remembering to help whom we can, May we endure our trials with patience, sabr and contentment, knowing Allah Ta'aala is by our side. May we be of those who are always steadfast in prayer and remembers and praises Allah Ta'aala with love and reverence each day!

May Allah Ta'aala make us pious Muslims! May we strive always for Allah Azza wa Jal nearness and pleasure!

Insha-Allah, Ameen!
